Staple bound 20 page 6"x8 1/2". Cover coarse newsprint. No date but this is a compilation of humor from the pages of "The Doctor's Factotum" which was published from 1893 to 1904. The "Canadian Practitioner and Review" vol 29 no. 4 of 1904 lists the Facetiae as being "a brochure recently issued" and the format is consistent with a 1904 date so I will use that until better information is available.It appears to be published by The New York Pharmacal Association which appears to be an agent of Lactopeptine a a popular patent medicine-"not a drug but a physiological compensation for a physiological deficiency" it says on the rear cover. Cover is in poor shape due to the quality of the paper used. Interior pages are much better with some creases and small edge tears but clean and legible and the binding is still good. Possibly of interest to a collector of antique Lactopeptine bottles.
