The Invasion of the Crimea Volume 9
Ordinarily, a lone volume of a multi-volume set would not be interesting but this one is special. When asked who his model for writing history was, Winston Churchil replied "Kinglake." Asked about another source, he said "More Kinglake." Here we have not only Kinglake on the "Invasion of the Crimea - Its orign, and an account of its progress down to the death of Lord Raglan," but this particular volume comes from a library in Smyrna, Turkey. Ex library of course with the usual stamps and marks but very good condition for its age. No dust jacket, Red cloth cover embossed with a linear design and gilt lettering on the sping. Spine and upper right corner bumped. One ding on top front cover. Binding tight, pages clean.
