Note found in the book says "Don't let the title fool you, Romance in this case means travel and adventure..." Halliburton had a relatively brief but adventurous career which included swimming the length of the Panama Canal. This was his first book. Basically a reading copy. The lettering on the spine is too faded to be legible, no dust jacket, bottom corner of the back cover and the last 80 pages has a water stain. Book and binding is is good shapeeverything tight and legible.
