Do you sincerely want more overseas visitors to your eastern Oregon business? Are you willing to do your part to make it so? Then your opportunity is here. Oregon Guides Publishing announces Handcrafted Eastern Oregon Vacations, a travel options aggregator for eastern Oregon. If you are the owner of an eastern Oregon tour business, ask yourself this: \"Do I have anything that will keep a visitor entertained for two weeks?\" Visitors from overseas need to spend thousands and many hours of flight time to get here. They need at least two weeks worth of something to make it worthwhile. Handcrafted addresses this by making it easy for anyone to put together an itinerary customized to their needs. On this weeks Gazette you can see how this works. You start by stating how many in your party and when you will come. This is the event options page for a visitor who wants to be here from June 1 to June 28 of 2016 and they have chosen to see the Obsidian Days in Hines. When you click on the \"Go to Activities\" button, you get the Activity Options menu and in this case they have chosen a 5 day bicycle tour and later a 4 day raft trip. Clicking on the \"Go to Lodging\" button takes them to a lodging menu where they have chosen a motel before and after the bike tour, a hostel for the Obsidian days, a stay at one to the National Forest Service cabins and a bed and breakfast for the remainder of the trip. In the demo these are generic listings on the live site, every menu item leads to a specific business and the business chooses the copy, artwork and colors for their listing. The \"Get Details\" button links to a site of the business' choice, usually your home page. Clicking on \"View Itinerary\" takes them to an itinerary listing and an estimated cost. I make no attempt to calculate exact prices at this point because that is where the handcrafted comes in. The price show is a \"not to exceed\" price to help the visitor decide to click on the \"let's make this happen\" button. Here the visitor is shown a disclaimer explaining that no one is committed to anything at this point except that I will respond within 48 hours with firm prices and dates for everything and they are asked for their email address. Clicking on the send button send an email to me with prospective itinerary details. I vet the itinerary, make arrangements with vendors, get back to my customers deal with any language and cultural issues, and collect deposits and make reservations. I will use web advertising to generate enough business to make this viable and make my profit on the prices vendors charge me and what I charge my customers. Go here and try it out for yourself. The site is functional but there is still lots to be done. It is not mobile friendly and I'll do that as soon as I get enough participation. The entries for lodging and activities are crude but that's your job: your entry will have the colors, graphics and text you choose so choose wisely. Click through to the next page and send me a message and I'll get back to you with all the specifics.
