In this time of upheaval in the political landscape, it is nice to know that there are some things that can be relied upon. I have recently received indications that some prospective overseas visitors are concerned by the news that Donald Trump will be the Republican presidential candidate this year to the point of reconsidering their travel plans. The first thing to understand is that Donald Trump does not actually want to be president. He thinks he should be king: the sun king who restores the kingdom to its former glory. This observation is not original with me, a Google search on \"Trump wants to be king.\" will generate dozens of hits going back to last year. The thing that is overlooked is that Trump wants to be a real old-time king not the wimpy modern kind. He thinks he is the knight in shining armor on a white (of course) horse. He does not behave like other politicians because he represents a higher power.
\"I nod and it's done.\" Sadly, for Mr. Trump, none of this will come to pass because this is the 21st century, not the 12th. So come on over, there's really nothing to worry about.
